Unless otherwise stated, yes!  Our group classes include basics in every class and give you step by step guidance into a combination in that dance style.

In essence, International Ballroom is more traditional and emphasizes a close connection between partners, while American Ballroom is more expressive and allows for more freedom in movement and choreography.

The most fabulous fashion choice for any dancer is comfort and freedom of movement!  Choose pants that stretch, materials that breathe, outfits that are classy but allow full range of movement. Layers you can add or take away are a great idea depending on the temperature in the studio.  Always bring a water just in case.  Ballroom Dance shoes can be found very easily on Amazon or other websites, and even local shops.  When buying footwear, choose suede-bottom ballroom dance style shoes.  If you do not yet have actual dance shoes, men can wear athletic shoes or dress shoes they can move and turn in.  Ladies can wear supportive heels if desired as long as they can maintain comfortable walking and standing for several hours.
